manoj gupta, founder, craftsvilla.com, “More of bookish knowledge. The reality is entirely missing from the curriculum of b-schools. They do not teach students to utilize time to create a launch pad for their own business as soon as they get out of these schools,” says Manoj Gupta, an MBA in Finance from IIM, Ahmedabad.

Gupta feels that it is a waste of time doing MBA from any b-school, as b-schools do not teach stuffs related to the real world and it is a waste of time and money. “All the case studies are far from the real world. They are trying to teach business ethics, but it is hard because there are so many different views, and social and political constraints; and ethics means different things to different people,” adds Gupta. According to him, meeting people is one of the important fundamentals of any business and b-schools should put more stress on this. The more you meet people the more you learn from their story. He says that customers do not give a damn about the degree that you hold and the market will fire you faster than any ungrateful boss if you lack the proficiency to entice them through a proper channel.
