Indian Millionaires are Show-Offs



The survey says that 75 percent of Indians collect treasures just to show it to the people and while the number for China is 52 percent. But when compared to the figures for Ireland, Switzerland, UK and Japan, it is less than 20 percent. On the other hand, this display and ownership of valuables creates an positive impact on society as wealthy collectors, who put up their collection for display in museums or exhibitions, play an important role in enriching cultural life.

Precious jewellery is considered to be in demand of all the treasures owned by rich.  Around 70 percent of rich invest in jewellery, followed by 49 percent in art and paintings and 37 percent in antique furniture. Indian millionaires hold around 98 percent of precious jewellery which is highest percentage globally.
