Fitness Mantras of Bollywood Celebrities

John Abraham

"John is blessed with a good physique. He possesses an athletic body. He used to play football and basketball during his school and college days. And his sincere efforts towards body-building give him a “Perfect 10 Physique," says Khatib, Abraham’s personal trainer. His diet consists of six egg whites, a glass of fruit juice, couple of slices of toast with butter, ten almonds during breakfast; and atta chapattis, yellow dal, spinach and some stir-fried vegetables, potatoes, sweet potatoes and yams for lunch. Being a vegetarian, he has found alternative sources of proteins. “Meat gives you a chain of 21 proteins,” he explains, “Tofu and spinach gives you 17 in one chain and five in another. But it is practically impossible to always have that. So my protein shakes are an absolute necessity.”

John said at a promotional event of his action movie Force, “Making a strong body is like a religion. When you preach a religion you go to a temple. I go to a gym and workout. I really worked out hard to make a strong body. I had put on 10 kilo muscles in eight months.”
