Anna Nicole Smith

She was also known as Vickie Smith, was an American model, actress and television personality. She became popular because of her appearance in Playboy magazine and became the Playmate of the Year in 1993. She also modeled for clothing companies like Guess jeans and Lane Bryant. Smith dropped out of school and married Billy in 1985. Later she divorced her first husband and got married to an oil tycoon who was 62 years elder to her.

After J. Howard Marshall’s death, she and her step son E. Pierce Marshall fought for the claim over her late husband’s property. The case went on for a decade, in 1996 Smith filed for bankruptcy due to the allegation of sexually harassing an employee and had to pay an amount of $850,000. In 2000 a Los Angeles Judge awarded her $449, 754, 134 for bankruptcy but in 2001 Houston judge affirmed that she was entitled to nothing and was then ordered to pay over $1 million to Pierce’s legal team.

In 2007 Smith died in Hollywood, Florida hotel room due to the overdose of prescription drugs. Before her death she was surrounded by press coverage because of the death of her son Daniel and there was a paternity and custody battle over her daughter Dannielynn.
