Facebook has modified its tagging system to ensure that users have more control over what people could post about them and what they could post relating to others.
A new option would now allow users to remove tags of themselves, by requesting the person who tagged them to remove it, or by blocking the tagger.
This would let Facebook users to decide which of their photos, or posts in which they have been tagged, would show up in their profiles.
"You can choose the new tool to approve or reject any photo or post you are tagged in before it's visible to anyone else on your profile," noted Facebook in its blog post.
