Akshay Kumar- Action Star Akshay Kumar was born and brought up in Amritsar, Punjab. He did all kinds of odd jobs before he came into the Hindi film industry. He obtained a black belt in Taekwondo in India and he studied martial arts in Bangkok, Thailand where he learned Muay Thai. During his stay in Bangkok, he worked as a chef and waiter in a restaurant. He debuted to the Hindi film industry in the year 1991 with the film Saugandh.
