Microsoft needs no introduction. Microsoft was not always the jaw dropping enterprise as it is today. When in 1975, the U.S. was mired in stagflation, with the combination of rising unemployment and inflation; Bill Gates, a Harvard University dropout, and Paul Allen decided to take advantage of this recession and start their own company. The company was located in Albuquerque and worked with rudimentary computing languages. It began climbing the success ladder during the recession of the early 80s with the introduction of MS-DOS.
Today, Microsoft has more than $70 billion in revenue, and offers a huge range of computer products and services along with the mobile platform with its Windows 7 Mobile phones.
