Are e-books Fading the Popularity of Paper Books?

e-books don't necessitate any extra space in your room and consequently, they are not space consuming. They do not consume paper, therefore, it helps saving paper. Knowing about the current condition of our Mother Earth and hence, we can comprehend the value of trees that are being cut down for making papers.
When it comes to e-books, pdf is the simplest and usually used e-book format. Its increasing popularity is largely attributed to compatibility. It works well in Windows, MAC OS, UNIX, Linux and on Android. One can start from the simplest format of digital e-books, plain text (.txt), rich text format (rtf), hypertext (.htm, html), Amazon Kindle (.azw), Palm Media (.pdb) and many more. However, with paper mode it is only one format that is paper and no compatibility issues.
Preferring ebook or a paper book chiefly depends on reader's interest and to some extent based on their lifestyle. Availability can be the major reason that gives rise to the popularity of e-books. Though the Internet has only been in use for a few decades now, you will find most of the old books which are translated into e-books online.
