History Channel History, previously known as The History Channel, is an American-based international satellite and cable TV channel that broadcasts a variety of reality shows and documentary programs as well as fictional and non-fictional historical content, together with speculation about the future. This is History's third successive emergence in the top five brands of the year. It's not just World War II stuff anymore: The channel added reality shows such as Pawn Stars and speculative documentaries about aliens.
