Earlier software vendors used to charge so much for software’s that when it came to development of an application or two, enterprises had to empty their wallets. But after the introduction of open source platform, things simply exploded as people started clinching new and less expensive ways of software authorization. Although established enterprises and many senior IT executives nodded their heads against this revolution, developers kept on flocking, which resulted in outcast of open source throughout the IT industry.

The case is similar in cloud computing. Many enterprises have emerged stating that they can provide services far less than cloud providers. But with real time examples of cloud-based applications costing less when compared to traditional models, it’s clear that cloud computing can turn up even bigger than open source.
