Steve Jobs

Mentor:  Robert Friedland

How they met:  At college

Steve Jobs was looking to sell his computer and accidently bumped into Friedland during his college days at Reed. Gradually the two became good friends and complimented each other very well. Jobs was more reserved but Friedland was more outgoing.

Friedland was known to be very charismatic and strong willed which inspired Jobs and this led to the creation of the brand and company ‘Apple’. Jobs was also inspired by few other people like Apple's angel investor Mike Markkula, IBM logo designer Paul Rand, and Buddhist Neem Karoli Baba. He also considered Apple designer Jonathan Ive to be his other creative half.
