Iron Maiden:
An Iron Maiden was an iron cabinet constructed to kill or torture the condemned. The iron cabinet was built with sharp objects like nails, spikes or knives inside of it. An individual was made to stand inside it and the doors of the cabinet were closed repeatedly on him forcing bleeding and puncture until death. Further due to blood loss or lack of oxygen the lungs would be punctured. Iron Maiden as a form of capital punishment was used throughout the 18th Century in England.
