Volunteer for India and Bhumi Unveils Enhanced Volship Fellowship: Pioneering Volunteer Leadership in India
Volunteer for India (VFI) is proud to announce the launch of the seventh cohort of its highly acclaimed Volship Fellowship program, setting a new benchmark as India's most extensive volunteer leadership fellowship. This initiative, which began with VFI and is implemented in collaboration with Bhumi NGO and supported by YuWaah (Generation Unlimited) at UNICEF, continues to revolutionize the volunteer landscape in India.
The Volship Fellowship offers an unparalleled opportunity for dedicated individuals to spearhead social change within their communities. Over a comprehensive 12-week period, fellows will not only design and implement impactful project plans but also mobilize 75 volunteers to address critical social issues in their respective regions. The program is crafted to foster innovative thinking, sustainable solutions, and a deep sense of community engagement.
"The Volship Fellowship is more than just a program; it's a movement to empower our youth to become catalysts for positive change," says Dr. Prahalathan K.K, Co-Founder of Bhumi NGO. "We're excited to see the innovative solutions and lasting impact our fellows will bring to their communities."
Key features of the Volship Fellowship include:
  • A fellowship certificate from YuWaah (Generation Unlimited) at UNICEF
  • Mentorship by NGO founders and leadership teams
  • Social Entrepreneurship 101 certification
  • Leadership development to enhance career profiles

Fellows will also benefit from unique opportunities such as networking sessions, collaborative jamming sessions, and hands-on leadership experience. The program covers a wide array of social causes, including education, poverty alleviation, youth development, elderly care, gender equality, human rights, health and well-being, community development, environmental conservation, and animal welfare.

While this is an unpaid fellowship requiring an 8-hour weekly commitment, the benefits are immeasurable. Fellows will gain valuable skills in sustainable strategy creation, influencer branding, fundraising, and social entrepreneurship. Top performers will receive letters of recommendation, opening doors to future opportunities in the social sector.
