IIT Guwahati backed startup EvyEnergy has been acquired by Zemetric, which is a US-based leading provider of electric vehicle charging solutions. The startup EvyEnergy was founded by Tushar Bohra, Mohit Jain and Bhabani Mohapatra, who are the students of IIT Guwahati, alumni of the B.Tech. batch of 2022.

They started this firm as a dorm room startup and since then they have transformed into one of the leading players in this green energy segment. This platform offers public charging, fleet charging and destination charging with seamless payment options.

This merging and acquisition deal between EvyEnergy and Zemetric would allow them to grow exponentially while incorporating proven software talent.

The founder & CEO of the US-based Zemetric, Harmeet Singh expressed his delight and said, “We are thrilled to welcome EvyEnergy into the Zemetric family. Their expertise aligns with our goal to accelerate the transition to clean transportation and expands our footprint in an enormous market primed for growth.”

The startup has already installed nearly 3000 charging ports on its ChargeConnect platform and mobile app and it has become a preferred choice for Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and mobility providers seeking convenient charging access.

The startup has created central management software for charging network companies to monitor and operate their charging stations in real-time. Public EV charging is fundamentally reliant on this type of software infrastructure.
