STPI launches incubation hub for 100 blockchain startups in 5 years
STPI has launched an incubation facility in its Gurugram location with the intention of developing 100 blockchain entrepreneurs over the next five years. The Apiary Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE) at STPI-Gurugram was formed through a collaboration between STPI, MeitY, the Haryana government, Padup Ventures, IBM, Intel, GBA, and FITT. "Apiary is one of STPI's CoEs focused on Blockchain Technology. It intends to nurture 100 startups over a five-year span".
S Krishnan, Secretary of Electronics and Information Technology, dedicated the incubation facility. "Meeting the young entrepreneurs was quite an enriching experience", he said. The way these entrepreneurs used cutting-edge technology to solve real-world challenges is very admirable. The way we have employed technology over the last three decades has been a fundamental benchmark for our country's exponential growth.
The Apiary CoE has a 7,000-square-foot fully furnished incubation facility with 80 plug-and-play workstations, conference rooms, and an auditorium. Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI, stressed that the Apiary CoE incubator center represents a significant step forward in India's digital transformation.
