Kratos Studios Launches 'Kratos Games Network' with Rs 50 Crore Allocation
Kratos Studios, the proud owners of the IndiGG intellectual property, have introduced an exciting new initiative called the 'Kratos Games Network'. This initiative will provide a substantial grant of INR 50 crore to gaming studios, with the aim of selecting the first group of 10-15 studios by March 2024. This significant move follows Kratos Studios' successful facilitation of monetization for an impressive 1.5 lakh gamers, amounting to INR 5 crore. With this new initiative, they anticipate a remarkable 100-fold increase in the number of gamers. The 'Kratos Games Network' will offer grants to web2 gaming development studios, assisting them in transitioning their games to blockchain gaming. The overarching goal of this program is to nurture a thriving global game developer community. It aims to create a pipeline of high-quality games that transcend various genres, languages, and cultural boundaries, making them accessible on the Kratos platform.
The selected gaming studios will benefit from Kratos' exclusive blockchain technology stack, which provides them access to the on-chain global gamer community consisting of a user base of 1 million. This integration of blockchain technology will empower studios to monetize their creations and generate revenue for both developers and gamers. Kratos Studios has a strong global presence within the gaming community, with a reach extending to various regions around the world. The 'Kratos Games Network' intends to collaborate with gaming studios not only in India but also in regions like LATAM, East Asia, and SE Asia. The selection process will be stringent, emphasizing profitability metrics over a 2-3 years and requiring game studios to have a minimum of 500,000 daily active users.
Being a part of the Kratos Games Network has numerous benefits, such as gaining access to extensive gamer communities. Partner developers will participate in a model that shares economic value with their gamers, leading to increased user retention and improved monetization for individual players. Manish Agarwal, the Founder of Kratos Studios, stated, "Kratos Studios is dedicated to the gaming community. This initiative will introduce top-tier games and, as a result, attract more gamers to the blockchain gaming world. We are well on our way to becoming the largest global network of gamers on the blockchain".
Moving from Web2 to blockchain technology in the gaming industry offers various advantages. Blockchain enhances player ownership by providing genuine ownership of in-game assets, enabling trading across different games and platforms. It ensures transparency and security through decentralized ledger technology, reducing the risks associated with cheating, fraud, or centralized control.
