Nodwin Gaming, a subsidiary of Nazara Technologies headquartered in Mumbai, has finalized deals to purchase the entire ownership of Freaks 4U Gaming, an agency specializing in gaming and esports located in Berlin.

The agreement is worth Rs 271 crore (€30.3 million) and is set to be carried out via a share exchange. Nodwin Gaming's Singapore branch will boost its ownership in Freaks 4U Gaming from 13.51% to 57% as part of the deal, with intentions to purchase the remaining 43% at a future time.

The acquisition is intended to improve Nodwin Gaming's abilities in PC gaming and services for games publishing.The purchase is anticipated to greatly enhance Nodwin Gaming's capacities and enhance its forthcoming earnings.

Nodwin Gaming has partnered with Freaks 4U Gaming since purchasing a minority share in January 2024, joining forces on initiatives like the PUBG Mobile Global Open and the Esports World Cup (EWC).

Nodwin Gaming strives to enhance its global presence in the gaming and esports sectors by leveraging the knowledge and resources of Freaks 4U Gaming.

Akshat Rathee, co-founder of Nodwin Gaming, said, “This acquisition is a pivotal step in our global growth strategy.”

Michael Haenisch, Matthias Remmert, and Jens Enders, the creators of Freaks 4U Gaming, are set to divest their shares as a component of the agreement. Meanwhile, current stakeholders of Freaks 4U Gaming, including Co-Investor Partners, will transition into shareholders of Nodwin Gaming’s Singapore-based subsidiary, Nodwin Gaming International Pte. Ltd.

In 2023, Nodwin Gaming's revenues reached 427.1 crore, marking a 10% increase from the previous financial year when it was 388.7 crore. The acquisition is projected to increase Nodwin Gaming's profits and solidify its market presence.

Nazara Technologies has announced its intention to allocate $100 million for mergers and acquisitions in the coming 24 months.
