Indian Gaming Startup, Rolocule Bags Angel Investment
Bangalore: Pune Based gaming studios, Rolocule Games has closed on an undisclosed amount of angel investment from Mumbai Angels and Blume Ventures. Ajeet Khurana, an active investor from Mumbai Angels will join the board of directors at Rolocule as a part of the deal, reported DealCurry.
"We are excited to have Mumbai Angels, for not just their financial support but also for the strategic guidance and enthusiasm, which I am sure will help us take Rolocule to a whole new level. Continuing with our focus to create realistic and simple to play games, we are also heavily focusing on making games purely social and accessible," said co-founder and CEO Rohit Gupta. Rolocule is looking forward to design gaming applications for fresh platforms as a part of their new growth focused business plan.
"Even with a small team and limited budget, we have a created a mark globally on iOS gaming. We wish to take this momentum forward and add more talented folks to our team as we also plan to launch our games on Android," Anuj Tandon, the COO and Co-founder of Rolocule told PocketGamer.
There have been several angel investments towards game developing companies recently. Indian Angel Network invested about $1Million in gaming startup Gamiana Digital Entertainment. Mumbai-based online gaming company, Games2Win has raised Series B funding of $6 Million from existing investors Clearstone Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Bank, as reported by DealCurry.
