EU-India Innocenter expands services for Indian Startups
EU-India Innocenter, a global hub fostering connections between European and Indian innovation ecosystems, hosts a week-long immersion program in Bengaluru for six European startups. These ventures, Anyline, Nano-tech, Cheesecake Energy, Enline, PVRmed, and Soula AI provide solutions spanning health tech, clean-tech, and deep technology sectors. Supported by the European Union under the 'Horizon 2020' R&I framework, this marks the eighth cohort of the project. The initiative involves startups, over twenty investors, and innovation hubs, all aiming to explore collaborations with stakeholders in the Indian startup scene.
On November 8, as the visit began, European startups exhibited their technologies to venture capitalists, potential partners, and companies from India and Europe at the Bangalore International Centre. Over the week, these startups and investors will deeply engage with the Indian startup ecosystem. The agenda includes diverse activities like a roundtable discussion at NASSCOM Future Forge, a tour of Tata Elxsi, an EU-India partnership roundtable concentrating on smart cities and cross-border innovation with leaders in Indian real estate, a pitch session involving startups and venture capitalists organized by Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, as well as visits to DERBI Foundation and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms.
During the event's kickoff, EU-India Innocenter also announced an expansion of its market-entry services, catering to Indian startups interested in entering the European market. Mr. Seppo Nurmi, in charge of the European Union Delegation to India, praised EU-India Innocenter for successfully bridging European and Indian startup ventures. He expressed contentment with the EU-funded initiative's role in unlocking collaborative potential between the two ecosystems, foreseeing mutual benefits for their economies and citizens.
