PM Modi Extends Eid-ul-Adha Greetings, Emphasizes Unity and Harmony
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, emphasizing the festival's role in promoting unity and harmony. In a message shared on X, PM Modi expressed hope for the festival to strengthen societal bonds and foster a sense of togetherness.
“Greetings on Eid-ul-Adha! May this special occasion further cement the bonds of harmony and togetherness in our society. May everyone be happy and healthy”, the Prime Minister posted.
PM Modi also conveyed his best wishes to Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu amid the recent diplomatic strains between the two countries since November last year. In a press release, the Indian High Commission in Maldives relayed the Prime Minister's Eid greetings, noting the significance of the festival’s values.
"On the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India @NarendraModi extended warm greetings to His Excellency President of Maldives Dr. @MMuizzu, the Government & the people of the Republic of Maldives", the High Commission stated on X.
The Prime Minister's message underscored the themes of sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood that Eid-ul-Adha embodies, which are vital for fostering a peaceful and inclusive world.
