Wipro 3D and Nikon SLM Solutions have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing in India, focusing on innovation and optimizing production processes across various industries. This collaboration aims to drive the widespread use of additive manufacturing technologies, contributing to initiatives like 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' by producing innovative, cost-effective metal parts and systems domestically.
Yathiraj Kasal, Business Head and General Manager at Wipro 3D, emphasized the impact of leveraging their extensive experience in 3D printing solutions. "By harnessing our capabilities, we can significantly expand the adoption of additive manufacturing", he stated. The initiative aims to enhance local production capabilities and meet industry demands with advanced, efficient metal additive manufacturing systems.
Nikon SLM Solutions, known for its versatile line of metal additive manufacturing systems such as the Nikon SLM 125, Nikon SLM 280 2.0, Nikon SLM 500, and Nikon SLM 800, brings high build rates and precision to the partnership. These systems are designed to enable Indian manufacturers to produce complex metal parts with efficiency and high quality.
