5. Caspian Airlines Tupolev 154 crash in Iran in 2009:

Caspian Airlines Tupolev was a commercial flight operated from Tehran, Iran, to Yerevan, Armenia and crashed on 15th July 2009 in an area located near the village of Jannatabad in north-western Iran. The lives of all the 153 passengers and 15 crew members on board perished in this crash.

The pilot was aware that the aircraft’s tail caught fire, and he circled the plane in order to find a safe place to land but unfortunately it failed. The aircraft was ruined completely after it crashed in an agricultural field. In Iran, this crash was the deadliest aviation accident since the 2003 crash of a military-operated Ilyushin Il-76 which killed 302 people.

6. Yemenia Airways Airbus A310 crash in the Comoros in 2009:

Yemenia Airways Airbus A310 was a twin engine jet airliner managed by Yemenia. It was operating as an international flight from Sana'a, Yemen, to Moroni, Comoros.

This twin engine Airbus crashed before reaching to Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport on 30th June 2009. It killed 153 passengers and the crew members on board. Bahia Bakari, a 12 year old, was the lone survivor who was found clinging to wreckage, after floating in the ocean for thirteen hours. The crash took place off the north coast of Grande Comore in the Indian Ocean several miles from airport after an aborted landing. The weather was unfavorable during the time of the crash with the winds gusting at 64 km/h.
