TCS brings in Bane NOR security deal
Bane NOR, the Norwegian government agency responsible of managing, operating, and expanding the country's rail system, reportedly chose Tata Consultancy Services to provide secure access to the latter's digital systems. The deal's financial details, however, were kept hidden.
Teams from TCS with locations in Norway and across Europe will serve as its strategic partner and offer managed services for identity governance and administration (IGA), access management, identity lifecycle management, and application management operations.
The identity and access management (IAM) platform of TCS' IdentiFence platform, a part of its Cyber Defense Suite, will be used by the large IT company. “TCS proposed a comprehensive plan and process to support Bane NOR, and we are confident in our decision to grant them the contract. They proved to be a right fit, and in particular TCS’ ability to be a strategic partner as well as their scalability and flexibility, and holistic approach to IGA capabilities coupled with access to local and global resources demonstrated their capacity to meet Bane NOR’s needs,” said Tom Remberg, CISO, Bane NOR.
To offer quick, regionalized help, TCS' Cyber Security suite features a network of 12 Threat Management Centers spread across the UK, Ireland, Spain, US, Mexico, Australia, Japan, and India.
Additionally, by incorporating security into all aspects of design, implementing a zero-trust framework, and offering 360-degree visibility and predictive intelligence to proactively defend against and address changing risks, it aids enterprises in quantifying their risks and fortifying their security posture. “Our automation and analytics-based digital identity platform TCS IdentiFence will reimagine their IAM landscape and enhance user experience,” said Rajan Maheshwari, Country Head, TCS Norway.
