Airbus Helicopters and Heligo Partners to Launch H145 into India's Energy Market

Airbus Helicopters' H145 has made its debut in India's energy sector with Heligo Charters Private Limited (HCPL). The first of these helicopters is now operational for offshore transportation with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). HCPL, an Indian operator that provides onshore and offshore helicopter support to various organizations, offers offshore helicopter services to the oil and gas industry in India. This introduction of the H145 into offshore operations follows six months after HCPL signed a comprehensive by-the-hour services contract with Airbus for six H145 helicopters in January 2024. These helicopters will be used by HCPL to transport ONGC personnel and materials to offshore locations in the subcontinent.

The H145 is the newest addition to Airbus’s twin-engine rotorcraft lineup, engineered for mission versatility and performance, especially in high and hot operating conditions. Despite its compact size, this helicopter features a small footprint and a spacious, adaptable cabin, allowing it to maneuver effectively in challenging environments like oil and gas helidecks.
