Reliance has silently launched its new innovation, the JioTag Air; a smart tracker designed to help users in locating misplaced items such as keys and wallets. Tagged at Rs 1,499, the smart JioTag Air comes in Red, Blue, and Gray color options and is now up for sale on JioMart.
The JioTag Air is a smart Bluetooth location tracker, that works in unison with both Apple Find My and JioThings community networks. This feature makes it easy to track the position of your tracker through theFind My App on iPhones or the JioThings App for Android.
Besides this rather chunky tracker the JioTag Air is what Jio calls it the box has, among other things, a lanyard that can attach this tracker to keychains, an extra battery, and more. With one battery, the tracker is supposed to come with up to 12 months of battery life, as mentioned by Jio.
Beyond its basic functionality as a lost-and-found tracker, the JioTag Air boasts additional features. It serves as a global tracker and includes a built-in speaker capable of emitting loud sounds up to 120 dB, aiding in the location of misplaced items.
The device can be operated in Find mode, under which tracking is enabled through Apple's Find My network, turn by turn. It has a reminder mode in which the device alerts the user if he forgets the tracker and has a lost mode that helps recover a lost JioTag Air unit.
Besides, the JioTag Air is also a pet tracker. It brings in features like the last connected location information, ring-to-find, phone disconnect alerts, silent zone capabilities, and sharing of devices with more.
Though perhaps more limited in features than Apple's very own AirTag, which costs more at Rs 3,490, the JioTag Air gives any user a more pocket-friendly alternative for any kind of tracking solution. Hence, considering the price rate and the overall versatile functionality of this device, as it turned out, the product becomes very tempting for the customer who wants to manage their things effectively.
