UOW India has announced the opening of applications for its new FinTech programmes, which will be offered at the GIFT City campus starting this July. The programmes aim to equip students with a deep understanding of financial technology and its applications across various sectors.

The curriculum includes a Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology, a concise course focusing on the latest advancements in FinTech. It covers how technology is transforming areas such as banking, insurance, and financial services. Additionally, the Master of Financial Technology and its Extension programmes offer a more comprehensive exploration of the FinTech industry and its global economic impact.

Students enrolled in these programmes will benefit from Work-Integrated Learning opportunities, which incorporate internships and practical experiences where faculty integrate industry challenges into classroom projects. This hands-on approach enables students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business scenarios, enhancing their practical skills and industry readiness.

Nimay Kalyani, Director of UOW India Campus, highlighted the career prospects that the FinTech courses will open for students. “The opening of the FinTech programmes will provide students with career options in the areas of blockchain technology, digital payments, data analytics, financial advisory, and machine learning”, Kalyani stated. He also noted the university's strong academic standing, “When the GIFT City campus opens, UOW India will be the 3rd highest ranked university in India and among the top 1% globally, ranked 167th in the latest QS World Rankings”.

These programmes are part of UOW India's initiative to prepare students for the rapidly evolving FinTech landscape, positioning them for success in cutting-edge financial technology roles.
