Gurgaon: Whack.in, Gurgaon-based ecommerce website, features one funny product a day, which most people did not even knew exist. A ball that bounces on water, a remote control in a cushion, limited edition collectors' playing cards, soaps made of 100 percent beer and a game in which one can move a ball simply by concentrating the power of the mind has already been featured on the website, reports alootechie. The website was launched in January 1, 2011, and claims to have made roughly 550 transactions till date with creating a revenue of 2.5 lakh in the first quarter. The company expects to make around 20 lakh in this fiscal year considering the current revenue generated. Till date, the company has been funded 10 lakh from its four promoters. Shlok Jain, Co-Founder of Whack.in, said that instead of featuring the usual already available product at discounted rates everywhere in the market, they focus on bringing the products to their visitors which they cannot find easily in India. Half of the products provided by the company are such, which normal people do not even know exists. The company is focusing on niche market, as the products provided by the company are not need-based; rather they are more of impulse buying. The products are mainly imported from U.S., UK, Japan and China. The concept has created an enthusiasm in the mind of the visitors, making them to visit the site repeatedly just to share how interesting they find the concept and to read the next funny story.
