Simplify360 Launches An Innovative Online Campaign


Bangalore: From the long queues outside phone booths awaiting our turns to lay our hands on the coveted phones to instant messaging on our smartphones, technology has come a long way forward. The growth of internet has been phenomenal over the years with last half a decade witnessing a boom.

Today, Facebook has more than 700 million global users on its platform. If Facebook were a nation, it would be the third largest in the world in terms of population. Social Media as we call it has started influencing every aspect of our daily lives. From businesses to governance, the contribution of internet and social media is undeniable today.

While platforms like LinkedIn have brought businesses together, micro blogging networks like Twitter played pivotal role in the mass uprisings in Arab world last year. Who could have thought even sharing pictures can be a great form of social networking?

The world is shrinking. However, are we catching up with it? With great power come great responsibilities. While internet has given us a voice, are we using it with prudence?

Aware Netizen campaign initiated by Simplify360 is an attempt to make people aware of the changing contours of the virtual world and instil a sense of responsibility in them. The application consists of two parts – “Explore” which shares snippets from the evolution of internet and social media through time, and, “Test” where an user can test how much she/he is aware about the various aspects of the internet.

“The whole purpose of the campaign is to reach out to general internet users and create awareness about the revolution which the internet has brought. Starting from the early form of communication to the over-throwing of a government, internet has played a key role. And our purpose from this campaign is to communicate that strength of the Internet,” said Deep Sherchan, CMO InRev Systems.
