Show of India's Military Strength at the R-Day Parade

Bangalore: As today is the Republic Day, the whole nation has immersed in the nationalistic zeal. It’s time for the Indian Military Force to showcase its new powers in front of the whole nation at the Republic Day Celebration. It has prepared itself in an exuberant manner as it did in all the previous years. It is all set to showcase the 3 powerful equipments namely, the T-72 Main Battle Tanks (MBT), Agni-4 missile and Advance Light Helicopter (ALH) at the most prestigious parade which will be held in the Delhi’s Rajpath on Thursday.  So, the Indian Citizens have a glorious opportunity to have a look at the powerful equipments our Military has got. Here is a detailed description of all the three equipments that will be showcased on this Republic Day Parade:

T-72 Main Battle Tanks (MBT)

This T-72 MBT is basically a Soviet Designed tank that started its production in 1972. It shares similar features with the T-64A. These tanks are one of the most widely produced war tanks after the World War. The T-72 is quite heavily resistant and its protection ranges from 11 inches on the battlement face to 8.8 inches of spaced, it is protected on the hull nose. The tank has full nuclear-biological-chemical protection and the interior of the tank is lined with a lead impregnated material for projection against radiation and neutron pulses, reports the “howstuffworks Website”. These tanks were most used in the 1970’s by the Warsaw Pact to collapse the Soviet Union.
