Lenovo 5-inch IdeaPad Android Tablet Leaks

Bangalore: Debates are picking pace with the latest leaked image of Lenovo 5-inch dual core tablet, running on Android, easy to fit into the pockets. An anonymous tipster sent the images to Engadget. While there is no confirmation regarding the images, what we see looks pretty good. The tablet is not yet fully detailed, apart from the fact that it features both USB and HDMI connectivity, though it's ready to go on sale as part of Lenovo's new IdeaTab brand or as the LePad in China.

The tablet also features a front facing camera and an earpiece speaker, but any information regarding voice call support along with its data connection is not yet confirmed. Rival tablet manufacturers like the Dell Streak 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note have kept away from voice attempt in order to put off the slates from eating into cell phone sales. Lenovo's IdeaTab is likely to be positioned as a VoIP companion, rather than a phone replacement.

The device might not be running a tablet-centric OS such as Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich as display has a three button look. But nothing is confirmed yet, until the devices hits the shelves. Although no news regarding the release, it can certainly be expected during Consumer Electronics Show 2012.

Another 10.1- inch Lenovo tablet under IdeaTab is presumed to launch, was leaked earlier this month. The device is said to run Ice Cream Sandwich on Tegra 3 quadcore processor. Going by the rumors it could be a considerable powerhouse.
