Bangalore: Work is essential in everyone's life and each one of us works for different reason. Some work to fulfill their basic needs and some people work just for pleasure. If the work is done successfully we can feel delighted by that and show more enthusiasm for the next work we do. Gallup- Healthways Well-Being Index, the daily assessment of U.S. residents' health and well-being, has been polling more than 1,000 adults every day since January 2008, reports Economic Times. Employee engagement to work can make a big difference in a company's survival. However, according to a study conducted by James K. Harter and his colleagues found that lower job satisfaction foreshadowed poorer bottom-line performance. When people don't care about their jobs or their employers, their work quality suffers. To gain real-time perspective into everyday work lives, nearly 12,000 electronic diary entries from 238 professionals in seven companies were collected. The analysis revealed their inner work lives, the usually hidden perceptions, emotions and motivations that people experience as they react to and make sense of events in their workdays. The results showed that one-third of the 12,000 diary entries, the diarist were unhappy, uninterested or both. Workers often expressed dissatisfaction, hatred. According to the research, the inner work life has a deep impact on workers creativity, productivity, commitment and collegiality. Employees will have new ideas when they will be happy. According to Conventional wisdom, it suggests that pressure enhances performance and the real time data shows that workers perform better when they are happily engaged in what they do.
