BlackBerry unveils BlackBerry Bold 9790

Bangalore: The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is an update to last year's Bold 9780, but although both handsets look superficially similar, the Bold 9790 has been upgraded with a small touchscreen, a much faster processor and a very significant upgrade to the internal flash memory. The 9790 also updates the operating system to BlackBerry 7, bringing it into line with almost all the rest of the BlackBerry range. It has a 2.45 inch touchscreen display and powered by a 1GHz Marvel Tavor MG1 processor, 768MB RAM. It also has a 8GB internal storage, 5 megapixel camera with VGA video capturing and a microSD card slot. The Bold 9790 is well geared connectivity-wise too - Wi-Fi, 3G with HSPA, GPS and even NFC. The compact new Bold comes with a full four-row portrait QWERTY keyboard and an optical track pad. The phone runs on the RIM's latest BlackBerry OS 7 and will hit the stores in the following few weeks.
