Asus to Launch Transformer 2 Tablet


Bangalore: Jonney Shih, Chairman of Asus said the Transformer 2, equipped with latest quad core tablet from Asus is expected to be launched on November 9. The new Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 will have a five core bearing Nvidia Tegra 3 System on chip codenamed as Kal-El. Out of the five different computing cores, the processor will independently choose which and how many cores are to be used to give the best possible performance. The chairman also revealed more details about the operating system. He did not confirm that the tablet will have the latest Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), but hinted that the ICS will start featuring on the products much before this year end. Asus Transformer 2 tablet will be 8.3 mm thick, with a 10 inch display and 1 GB of RAM. Asus has already launched the Eee Pad Transformer TF101 in India, available now for Rs 29,990 approximately. We can anticipate the arrival of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 by the end of this year or early next year in India.
