Being a manager in an organization is big step towards an employee's career. But at the same time it's a very challenging task too. Management skill is very important for every manager and good management skills can positively impact productivity and performance. Almost everyone would like to become a team leader, but there are very few who would actually possess the characteristics to be a good manager. Give enough time and training to your subordinates and make them understand their task. Call them for one on one meeting and discuss about their weakness and how to improve that. You have to represent a fresh start as their manager so monitor their work and try to improve them if needed.
