8 foreigners killed, 22 injured amidst grenade blast in Taj

Mumbai: Ensuring no peace to the people of Mumbai and the NSG who is constantly on its toes, another grenade exploded in the Taj hotel. This has led to more of firing between the security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the death of eight foreign nationals and one NSG commando while 22 people are injured.
Infact, the NSG has found some amount of RDX at the hotel and also two more terrorists are said to be still lingering inside the Nariman hotel.
Earlier, fresh gunshots were reportedly heard from 1st floor of the Taj hotel and marine commandos had recovered 30 bodies from there. They also said that around 200 people were held hostage at one of the halls of the hotel. There are flash news on TV channels that firings are reported from near RBI head quarters also. Officials now confirms that one militant is still holed up in the 1st floor of Taj. Meanwhile commando operation continues in full swing. They have reportedly entered the ground floor of the hotel and blocked the exit way.
In the early morning, fresh attacks were reported from Nariman House. Around 50 NSG commandos have taken the charge and many of them in choppers of the security forces have been on continuous battle with the terrorists in the Nariman House.
The NSG has also positioned snipers, leaving no room for the culprits to escape. The building was still in darkness as the Army closed in.
Earlier, seven terrorists were killed in commando operation at the Taj hotel. There were reports of fresh firing from inside the hotel. Army sources had told NDTV that operation at Taj can go on till morning, but operation is still on.
It wasn't immediately clear what had caused the blasts as the media had been barred from the area, eyewitnesses said.
Earlier, it was reported that at least seven hostages had been brought out of the building but this could not be immediately confirmed.
Nariman House, also known as Chabad House, lies some 100 metres away as the crow flies from the Oberoi-Trident Hotel that the terrorists have stormed, apart from the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel.
