No wonder women are emerging more and more in every sector of the business like financial services, media, or education. But there remains certain limit which draws them back into this conservative society of ours.

Is only a degree enough for them to sail through the corporate sea? Let’s find out some of their qualities which led them to the pinnacle.

Figuring out the priorities

Women are multi tasking in their life and hence she has to decide what is more important, whether family, responsibility or the professional inside her. How important her career is to her. Women who reached the senior positions in India Inc. say one have to prioritize their wants. Kimsuka Narsimhan, Chief Financial Officer of PepsiCo Inc. says, “How far does she want to go? She needs to decide that first”.

On the flip side it doesn’t mean that she should plant her entire focus on only one side or into her professional life. Sangeeta Talwar, Managing Director of NDDB Dairy Services says, “Do not get swept by one role by either getting too involved in work or too focused on family needs”.
