Bangalore: The economic scene worldwide is depressing day by day. The European countries are facing a very critical debt crisis and the debt rates of U.S. has been demoting drastically. The world leaders have lost their sleep as they are finding ways to eradicate this situation as this may lead to a huge recession. 1. Tim Cook:
The successor of Steve Jobs joined Apple in the year 1998. He was born in Alabama and perceived his industrial engineering from Auburn University and Masters in Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He served IBM for 12 years as the director of N.A fulfillment for IBM's PC business. He also served in worldwide operations as a senior vice president and also worked for Intelligent Electronics as a COO. Before Steve jobs hired him, he spent six months as a VP for corporate materials at Compaq. Cook has made best business decisions and got great recognition for his ideas. He stopped the manufacturing by closing the factories and warehouses of Apple around the world. This helped company to cut the inventory levels and restructure the supply chain, rapidly increasing margins. This led to the promotion of Tim Cook as COO in the year 2007. Cook served as Apple's CEO for two months in the year 2004 as Steve was undergoing a pancreatic cancer surgery. He has been the substitute of Jobs even in the year 2009 when jobs had to do a liver transplantation. In January 2011, Steve Jobs' condition became a little more serious and was unable to administer the company's operations at which point, Tim cook made most of the decisions and took care of all the operations. Jobs did make the most important decisions but the day to day operations were handled by Tim cook. After the resignation of Steve jobs, Tim cook was announced the CEO of Apple.
