1. A British house worth $228 million
An anonymous Russian purchased Britain's most expensive home at Part Place for a staggering price of $228 million. The 300-year-old country house set on 200 acres in Oxfordshire and has 27 bedrooms and two golf courses. The buyer preferred to remain as an unidentified Russian.
The home was owned by Frederick, Prince of Wales and the eldest son of George II.
