Supply Chain and Logistics Conference & Expo 2012 To focus on 'Sourcing for Profit'


Bangalore: As margins are becoming wafer-thin, companies are looking at cutting costs, improving efficiencies and reengineering their operations to become profitable. Integral to this change is the supply chain and logistics operations.

In this background, the 13th Supply Chain and Logistics Conference & Expo 2012 or popularly called ‘SCALE 2012’ will be held in Bangalore on May 18 & 19, 2012 at Hotel Lalit Ashok. SCALE 2012 is ideally suited for Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport and Procurement professionals, CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, practitioners amongst others.

SCALE 2012, organized by Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), will address opportunities related to the realm of Supply Chain and Logistics in IT & BPO, Healthcare, Construction, Automobile and Retail Industry.

The event will present strategic solutions to the challenges of accelerating financial returns, containing costs, implementing information technology, streamlining supply chain management processes among others. 

SCALE 2012 will also host a one-day workshop on 17th May 2012 on E-Procurement and Services Buying.

The first day of the event will focus on identifying and debating on the challenges faced in these sectors in managing projects to deliver on time and improve profitability.

The second day will basically discuss on the opportunities of Supply Chain Management and Logistics in the Sea, Air, Surface Logistics; IT Enablers – ERP, POS, IT Products & Equipments, Tele-Communication, Warehousing and Finance – Banking, Insurance.
