Ncubate Capital Partners Pick Minority Stake in Nevis Networks

Bangalore: Pune based Nevis networks, a pioneer company in LAN and network security domain has had its minority stake been picked by Ncubate Capital Partners. This also closed the debut transaction of this funding company which is founded by Rakesh Malhotra, founder and chairman of Luminous Technologies.

Nevis was founded in 2002 by Manish Muthal and Amol Mahajani and it has customers all over the globe.  It provides identity-based policy enforcement and protection in the network fabric, it also controls the company’s network by providing access only to the necessary parties and what resources they are permitted to use, as well as containing the spread of the most sophisticated malware. It has also been active in providing identity firewalls, NAC and IPS. Some of their major clients are Patni, Aptuit, Centrality Communication and South Orange County Community.

“The funding will help Nevis build a next generation product and expand the presence in existing markets and opportunistically enter newer markets. Nevis has a well established presence in the network security market in India with its indigenous NAC product. I am very pleased with this partnership and looking forward to taking the business forward,” said Radha Shelat, CEO of Nevis.

Growth in mobile devices and the growing number of laptops and mobile users in the enterprise network have necessitated greater focus on network security as it has a direct impact on compliance. Nevis networks are developing next generation products to constantly match the speed of the moving generation.

This funding has also excited the investors because Rakesh Malhotra was found saying “Ncubate is looking at companies with strong management teams at early stages of growth; we were very impressed by the Management team at Nevis. They have an opportunity to build a global company providing state-of-the-art security solutions."
