Indian Talent Discovery Website Raises $12 Million


Bangalore: The talent discovery site that intends to revolutionize the Indian entertainment industry, Talentube raises $12 Million fund from a group of Angel Investors. The Investors included Amit Dalmia, managing director of Creative Global, Viaton Energy and bedbathmore.com and Neeral Goenka, o-founder of Robert Graham, a global luxury lifestyle brand.

Talentube has planned to build India’s largest community of talented individuals interested in Film and Television Industry. It will also provide them with opportunities in the show business to create a near democratized environment in the present Indian entertainment.

The company is led by a group of highly qualified individuals who have succeeded in bringing great success to their firm in a comparatively small period. Vinod G. Nair a computer engineer; Ravi Nagpurkar, an alumnus of Duke University and Rakesh Sreekumar, a graduate of XLRI launched the website on April 30, 2012.

“It is a result of the common passions that we share and our burning desire to democratize Bollywood and the entire Indian entertainment industry,” Vinod who is also the managing director of Clea Public Relations, told IndiaBlooms.

“Talentube will conceptualize commission and produce films, television serials and other entertainment properties in Hindi and regional languages, with the sole purpose of providing life-altering opportunities for the aspiring talent in India and abroad,” reported Deal curry about the multi million investment.

 The website is soon to start online auditions for movies to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Sudhir Mishra and Sangeeth Sivan. The auditions will then be evaluated by trained professionals to be screened for the final round, which will be judged by the Directors of the films.

 Talentube’s target does not just limit itself to the Hindi film industry but promises to expand its reach to the regional movies aswell, spanning talent from India and Abroad.
