Indian Brothers Aged 10 and 12, Launch Mobile App Startup

Bangalore: Great entrepreneurs show their entrepreneurial skills at a very young age. Standing up to the thought and making a mark in this Smartphone era, school going brothers from Chennai, Sanjay Kumaran and Shravan Kumaran launched their mobile application firm Go Dimensions. At age 10, Sanjay is one of the youngest CEOs in the world, while his elder brother Shravan holds the position of the President of the company at a mere age of 12.

The proud father of the wonder kids, Kumaran Surendran, 45, is a techie himself and the director of an IT firm, reports Indiatoday. The startup floated up in the app market during December 2011 and its first gaming application Catch me Cop registered over 2000 downloads within just two weeks of the launch. Sanjay and Shravan study in class 6 and 8 at a school in Chennai and are said to have immense understanding about mobile app development, its market and the allied technology.

"Their curiosity for programming knew no bounds and I decided to channelize their interest. When I taught the elder one, he was barely seven years old and the younger one too joined in. Within three years, they mastered three languages - COBOL, Basic and Objective-C and started to create mobile applications," says the proud father of the duo.

Apart from Catch me Cop, Go Dimension has launched many more apps on the apple application store. Alphabet Board, Player Planet and Colour palette have already achieved a whooping sum of 10,000 downloads and running. The duo seems to have jotted out clear business plans and strategies for the future. "Gaining popularity and earning revenue from advertisements through website traffic. The applications we have developed have space for ads. We earned our first $100 through them. "Our aim is to bring accessibility and affordability for all," said the 10 year old CEO. Due to the rising popularity and prominence of the company in the application market some companies had evinced interest in tying up with Go Dimension, says Indiatoday.
