New Delhi: HCL Infosystems Monday said it has signed a deal with Qatar's technology and engineering solutions and services provider Consolidated Gulf (CGC) to distribute its laptops, desktops and tablets in the country. "As part of the strategic tie up, CGC would be HCL Infosystems' authorised distributor for Qatar and will cater to corporate, project and retail business needs. CGC will also provide after-sales support for the HCL products through its service centres," the company said in a statement. Anil Mahajan, chief operating officer (COO), CGC said there is good demand for quality laptops, desktops and tablets for cost conscious customers in the region. And HCL products with the latest technology are geared to fulfil such gaps in local market. "This partnership will complement the growing needs of the diversified customer profiles. We intend to tap the growing market needs by leveraging our common strengths, including a countrywide distribution network, well connected sales team and innovative HCL products," Mahajan said. "Expanding our operations in Qatar is a top priority for us and is an important piece in our aggressive expansion plans in the Middle East," said Harsh Chitale, chief executive officer, HCL Infosystems.
