Emerson Enhances its UPS Portfolio in India

Bangalore– Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) that maximizes availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, today announced the addition of three next-generation UPS systems for large data center facilities in India – the Liebert Trinergy, the Liebert 80-Net and the made in India Liebert SX.

As data center managers seek out new ways to design and support higher densities in smaller spaces, Emerson Network Power is offering  the most energy efficient UPS systems currently available for protecting mission critical infrastructure, such as Tier 3 and Tier 4 data centers, from disruptions to mains power supply.

Featuring three industry standard functioning configurations - Maximum Power Control (VFI), Maximum Energy Saving (VFD) and High Efficiency and Power Conditioning (VI) - the Liebert Trinergy is the first such UPS that monitors the environment and operating conditions of the network to choose the most efficient operating mode. Its high level of flexibility, conversion efficiency of more than 99 percent and adaptability allows the Liebert Trinergy to achieve extraordinary energy savings, first class performance and maximum power protection.

The launch of Liebert 80-Net follows a technical breakthrough in semiconductor technology that allows transformers in large standalone UPS to be replaced with digital, near instantaneous control of voltage and current - a development with major commercial implications. This breakthrough enables data centers to increase their load by 20 percent providing higher efficiencies and a lower capital expenditure, without taking up valuable floor space. The device achieves a significant 98 percent throughput efficiency whilst conforming to all requirements for Tier 4 power protection.

The Liebert SX featuring three input and output phases has been indigenously developed in India for maximized active power, high efficiency and complete compatibility for modern mission critical IT and industrial loads. Its SX control platform incorporates advanced DSP, making it the most powerful control in the UPS industry. Together with the patented Vector Control Technology it enables an increased performance of power converters and real time control of output power quality. Its intelligent double conversion technology can achieve optimum efficiency values in all operating conditions to reduce energy consumption, while an optional Digital Interactive Mode (DIM) continuously monitors input supply and failure rates to ensure maximum reliability for critical users.

“Today’s data centers are in a constant state of flux leading to a surge in energy demands. We have brought world-class UPS systems that address the rising power costs of our data center customers,” explained B. Venkat Rao, country manager for medium & large UPS systems at Emerson Network Power in India. “The power and cost savings delivered by these solutions are unparalleled in the market.”
