In a recent survey by HealthyStuff.org, a latest ranking of cars that contain worst polluters was listed. The Ecology Center has rated the cars on a scale of zero to 5; higher the score, the higher the level of chemical contact by human beings which hurts and harms the health of people. Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Mitsubishi's Outlander Sport was major offender, with a score of 3.17. Researchers identified bromine and antimony-based flame retardants in the center console, seat materials and seat base of the SUV. Chromium-treated leather was found on more than a few components in the Outlander and more than 400 parts per million of lead in its seating materials.

Outlander Sport is a compact 5-passenger crossover and features a completely new exterior design that includes Mitsubishi's jet fighter front fascia from the Lancer Evolution, a high beltline and an integrated rear spoiler.
