India Ranks 2nd in Global Innovation Index



Bangalore: According to the Global Innovation Efficiency Index, Countries that are strong in producing innovation outputs in spite of its weaker innovation environment and innovation inputs are ranked as high in the efficiency index. So the index suggests that the countries are best in transforming the given innovation into outstanding output is considered in the top 10 list of the nations with high global innovation efficiency index. The list ranks China and India on the top.

It scores high on knowledge and technology outputs and in Infrastructure and Market and Business sophistication. For such countries the areas of improvements would be on the higher aggregate GII rankings which include institutions, human capital and research and creative outputs. China’s efficiency score is 1.13 and the GDP per capita (PPP) is $8394.1.
