Sony Unveils 13 Megapixel Camera Smartphone


Bangalore: Sony Mobile has launched two new smartphones under Xperia line up for the Japan market. The two smartphones - Xperia GX and Xperia SX supports LTE network and will be made available in Japan by the second quarter of this year, as of now there are no details when the devices will be available globally.

These two handsets are the first Sony branded smartphones to launch in the Japan market. Both are powered by 1.5 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Xperia GX has 4.6 inch display while Xperia SX comes with 3.7 inch display, both display features Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine for razor sharp clarity, 16 GB internal storage and 8 GB internal storage respectively.

The two smartphones have some unique features in it. The Xperia GX features 13 megapixel camera where as Xperia SX is world’s lightest LTE smartphone weighs just 95 grams.

Sony Mobiles has not yet announced the price of these two smartphones.
