Samsung Unveils Omnia M to Kick Lumia 610


Bangalore: Samsung has announced its new entry level Window Phone – Omnia M- to compete with Nokia’s Lumia 610. Omnia M is especially catered for social and entertainment multi-taskers. The company has not declared the launch date yet, but has said that the phone will be available in the European market first and then will be rolled to the rest of the world.

The phone will have a price tag of around 11000, same as Lumia 610. When it come to specification Omnia M has better stuffs to boost like its 1 Ghz processor with 384 MB RAM and a 4-inch screen when compared to Lumia 610 having  800 MHz processor with 256 MB RAM and a 3.7-inch screen.

Omnia M sports a 5 MP camera, front facing VGA camera and 1500 mAH battery. Lumia 610 also has a 5 MP camera, but doesn’t have a front facing VGA camera and comes with 1300 mAH battery. One of the major strength of Lumia 610 is its 8 GB storage, whereas Omnia M has only 4 GB storage. Omnia M also offers features like ChatOn messenger, Samsung AllShare, Music Hub and SkyDrive offering 25 GB of free online storage.

The availability of this budget Window Phone smartphone in India is not disclosed yet. As Lumia 610 is expected to launch shortly, it’s for sure that Omnia M will not delay its arrival.
