Reliance Launched Upgraded 3G Tab for 14,499


Bangalore: Reliance launched a new 3G tablet which will be available in the Indian market with a price tag of 14,499. This table is an upgraded version of its previous 3G tablet which was launched in August last year.

The latest upgraded version is called as Reliance 3G Tab V9A. The tablet is powered with 1.4 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It sports 7 inch touchscreen display with 1024x600 pixels of resolution, 3 MP rear camera, VGA front facing camera for video calling and supports 3G network.

According to the company, it offers free benefits worth 6,250 with each tablet purchase. Users will get 3GB of 3G data for 3 months which includes 3 months free video calling for local and STD only for Reliance 3G network. For voice calling it offers 12 months free voice rental along with free global calling worth 250 for postpaid users, 1 year subscription on McAfee Mobile Security, 2 months of free BigFilx subscription and 4GB micro SD card as free goody.

Along with these free stuffs the tablet also comes with pre-installed apps like Documents To Go, BigFlix, Reliance World Online, Reliance TV, Facebook and Twitter.

Though the tablet’s specification and offers appears to be completive but it disappoints with older version of Android operating system. Right now the market is already filled with number of budget tablet running latest version Android 4.0 ICS operating system and furthermore the latest Google Nexus 7 tablet which is waiting to hit the stores in India running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
