Nokia PureView 808 to Hit Indian Stores by June 6


Bangalore: Nokia Pureview 808 is a highly awaited smartphone in India and worldwide too. With all rumors and speculation around its launch, Nokia has officially confirmed that the monstrous camera phone will arrive in the Indian market by June 6.

The company has launched a specific website called ‘nokiapureview.in’ which shows a countdown of the launch of this 41 MP camera smartphone in India. While the price is nowhere mentioned in the website, but the online shopping site ‘buytheprice.com’ has already started accepting pre-orders for this high-end camera phone for 32,000; actual MRP is coated as 33,999. However the company has not yet given any confirmation about its price.

You all might know the major specification of the PureView 808 is its high density 41 megapixels sensor camera which comes with Carl Zeiss lens, Xenon flash and a new oversampling technology. This sensor enables to select from various megapixels options while taking pictures like 5 MP, 8 MP and up to 32 MP. It means the image will be with more pixels to work after zooming and cropping the image.

For those who don’t know; the 808 is a Symbian Belle based smartphone, packed with 4 inch AMOLED touchscreen featuring its own CleatBlack technology for better viewing at sunlight. It is powered by ARM single-core 1.3 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, can be expandable up to 48 GB via microSD card. For connectivity it has Bluetooth, Near Field Connection (NFC), GPRS, Wi-Fi, 3G, micro USB and USB on-the-go support.
